At Sardarpura village in Mehsana district of Gujarat, witnessed one of the worst instances of rioting after the Godhra incident of February 2002 in which 33 people were burnt alive.
Today in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat High Court has issued a verdict and convicted 14 accused while hearing an appeal filed by the SIT. Earlier the court had convicted 31 and acquitted 42 accused. This is an another riot case where the HC has issued verdict.
