AMC through its notification imposed ban on production and sell of plastic water pouch, which was challenged a plastic manufacturers of Ahmedabad in Gujarat High Court.
Arguments by central government, GPCB Gujarat Pollution Control Board and Gujarat government made stating damage caused by plastic pouch to the environment and people, plea of plastic manufacturers was rejected and decicion of AMC was upheld by Gujarat HC.
