Today in Ahmedabad, the Gujarat High Court has stayed a state election commission decision to hold swaraj polls by 3 months. The election commission had said that the law and order situation was not adequate to hold the polls in the state. The decision had come in due to prevailing the Patidar agitation. Reacting to the decision, the EC has said that they will move Supreme Court in the matter. The state election commission also granted a stay on the order till they challenge it in the Supreme Court, but that was also rejected.
