Gujarat High Court deferred application filed by Patidar leader Hardik Patel regarding contesting Lok Sabha elections 2019. Next hearing deferred till 19th March as government demands time from the court.
Recently High Court Judge RP Dholaria refusesd from hearing petition of Hardik seeking suspension of conviction in rioting case. He has sought relief on ground that he wants to contest Lok Sabha polls.
In Ahmedabad, Hardik met Congress President Rahul Gandhi and formally joined Congress. Congress President Rahul was in city for CWC Congress Working Committee Meeting.
