Be careful before getting drunk during 31st December night celebrations.
Now if you are caught taking drugs, you will strictly punished. An initiative of DGP Gujarat police Ashish Bhatia, the system of checking alcohol has been consumed or not was implemented in the state so far. Now a new system will be implemented to know whether drugs have been taken or not.
Like Breath Analysers on road, Drug Analyzers will be used to check consumption of drugs. at Colleges, pan parlors, clubs, parties all such public places where drugs are likely to be taken will be raided by local police.
The experiment will be done for the first time in state. Initially, the experiment will be done in four big cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Rajkot. State government bought the kits at a cost of Rs. 50 lakhs. FUsing this kit, On The Spot, it will be known whether drugs have been taken.
It can be implemented from this 31st December.
