Under the leadership of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and MoS Home Harsh Sanghavi, Gujarat Police launched GP-SMASH (Social Media Monitoring, Awareness and Systematic Handling) on 1st March 2025.
This initiative enables citizens to raise grievances through social media platforms like X (Twitter).
Within minutes, posts are tagged to the respective district, range, or unit heads for prompt action.
So far, over 850 citizen complaints have been positively resolved.
GP-SMASH ensures 24×7 monitoring by a dedicated team that tracks social media activity related to law and order, cyber fraud, traffic, or misconduct by officials — making citizens feel the police are “just a click away.
