Gujarat rain news live today; Gujarat receives comprehensive rain

In Gujarat rain continues in a fresh spell.

In Barwada 15 inch, Mahudha-Dandhuka had 13 inch and Kadi received 12 inch of rain . Death toll reached 3.

In Rajkot, in last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Friday, city of Rajkot observed a whopping 197 mm of rainfall. Rail services on Rajkot to Junagadh, Rajkot to Jamnagar sector affected due to heavy rain, Bhaktinagar Rajkot junction was closed down. Paddhari station under water. Rajkot to Junagadh rail service closed down due to 71 inch of rainfall and entire city is under water.

In Jamangar, torrential rain from morning, rivers recharged with flood in upstream. Flood water enetered  in Khodiyar temple.

In Morbi, Matchhu dam 1 overflowed, causing affected people to migrate to safer places. In Vankaner, Holmadh, Jalsika, Panchasar, Rati Devdi and people of 16 villages alerted to migrate to safer places.

In Surendranagar district, 5 inch rain lashed in 24 hours , Chhalada- Balada village were flooded.  20 gates of Nayka dam opened upto 1 foot.

In north Gujarat, damage in a bridge connecting from Himmatnagar to Vijapur. Breakage in the bridge at Darol village on Sabarmati river.

Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, 26 trains were cancelled.

Four persons, including a one-year-old girl, were killed, and five others injured when a three-storey building collapsed in #Nadiad town of #Gujarat following heavy rains.

In Kheda at Pragatinagar of Nadiad, due to heavy rain 4 persons killed and 6 other injured in collapse of 3 storey building.

Rail Traffic from Vadodara to Delhi #Suspended Due to Flooding.  Alarm raised as Vishwamitri River has swollen again. Social Work department students of Gujarat University at rescue of flood affected people of Vadodara provided food, clothes etc as a relief material.

South Gujarat experiences heavy rain. There is a forecast of heavy to very heavy rain in next 48 hours in Gujarat with gusty winds.

In Bharuch, rise in water of Narmada river at Golden Bridge. After span of 6 years, Narmada water level crossed danger mark of 28 feet. 30 gates were closed of Narmada dam due to flooding.


In Surat, Tapi river filled with fresh rain water.  The Tapi river flowing bank to bank after gap of few years. Water logging in some low lying areas of Surat city.

Flooding in parts of Kutch following heavy rainfall in the region.  Gandhidham received 7.5 inch rain and water logging in market of Bhuj.

Heavy rains lashed in Gujarat. Ahmedabad had 109 mm, Gandhinagar 101 mm, Vallabh VidhyaNagar 152 mm, Rajkot 197 mm, Porbandar 116 mm, Amreli 142 mm, Naliya 103 mm, Bhuj 48 mm, Kandla 162 mm and Bhavnagar received 105 mm of rain.
