Gujarat Rainfall update: rain in 156 talukas of state in 24 hours

AHMEDABAD: monsoon is going on in Gujarat and temperature has dropped in atmosphere. 156 talukas of Gujarat recorded rain on Monday. The highest rainfall of 6.36 inches was recorded in Umargam of Valsad. Also, 5.44 inches of rain was recorded in Pardi of Valsad. According to weather department, there will be rain in the state for the next 5 days. Heavy to very to heavy rains may also fall in some parts. Gujarat Heavy rain forecast is forecast for July 8.


Palsana and Vapi 4.64 inches, Choryasi of Surat 4.28 inches, Surat city 3.6 inches, Devbhoomi Dwarka’s Khambhaliya 3.5 inches while Amreli’s Savarkundla, Jalalpore received more than 3 inches of rain while Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar received more rain. There were no signs of heavy rains in Ahmedabad for 4 days. Scattered rains are forecast in Ahmedabad. Meteorological department has forecast the next four days for South Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra. According to the meteorological department, the current low pressure in West Bengal will have an impact on Gujarat.

This low pressure is coming towards Gujarat through Madhya Pradesh.There will be good rains across Gujarat in the next five days. Heavy to very heavy rains are also expected. He said that heavy rains are likely on July 8. Most of Gujarat on July 7 and 8 Areas will receive good rainfall. South Gujarat and Central Gujarat are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall. One district of North Gujarat is also likely to receive heavy rainfall. Coastal areas of Saurashtra and Kutch are also likely to receive heavy rainfall. There will be a warning for fishermen all over the coast of Gujarat from July 6.
