Gujarat Titans produced a clinical performance in front of their home crowd at Narendra Modi Stadium, defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by a huge margin of 82 runs in IPL 2026. The convincing win helped GT strengthen their position near the top of the league standings and showcased their strength in both batting and bowling departments.
Batting first, Gujarat Titans faced early pressure after losing wickets inside the powerplay. However, Sai Sudharsan steadied the innings with a calm and responsible half-century, while Washington Sundar shifted momentum with an attacking knock in the middle overs. Their partnership helped GT recover strongly and finish at a competitive total of 168/5 after 20 overs.

Hyderabad’s chase never gained momentum as Gujarat’s bowlers dominated from the very beginning. The SRH batting lineup struggled against disciplined pace bowling and regular wickets pushed the visitors completely on the back foot. Kagiso Rabada delivered a match-winning spell, while Jason Holder provided excellent support to dismantle Hyderabad’s batting order.
Star players from Sunrisers Hyderabad, including Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen, failed to make an impact as the team collapsed for just 86 runs. The heavy defeat exposed SRH’s batting inconsistency and handed Gujarat one of their most commanding victories of the season.
The Ahmedabad crowd witnessed an energetic all-round display from the Titans, with strong batting recovery followed by aggressive bowling execution. With this victory, Gujarat Titans continued their impressive run in IPL 2026 and further boosted their playoff hopes.
