Gujarat: Heavy rain leaves Deesa-Tharad Highway waterlogged

Today in northen Gujarat Banaskantha district experience big spell of rain. Heavy rain leaves Deesa-Tharad Highway waterlogged.
People face hardship in the vicinity. All big and small vehicles were trapped in water logging.

People had to walk in knee deep waters.

Today parts of Gujarat saw heavy rains with rain lashing from morning itself.

In Tankara taluk of Morbi, 10 villages were marooned due to cloud burst and in 3 hours 250 mm rain lashed in the region. Alert has been sounded in the region. In Radhanpur taluka in 10 hours, 225 mm of rain received.

In Jamnagar, Latipur and Hadia village in Dhrol taluk and Jodia has become islands. 125 mm rain fall in Jamnagar during morning 5 to 9 am. Rivers have flooded in Jamnagar due to heavy rains.

In Ahmedabad effect of upper cyclonic was seen. Heavy rain is forecasted for 72 hours in the state.

In Vadodara district, Vadodara had 5 mm, Karjan 25 mm, Desar 7 mm, Shinor 5 mm and Dabhoi had 26 mm of rain.

In Surat, Olpad had 24 mm, Mangrol 66 mm, Umarpada 68 mm, Choryasi 50 mm and Surat city had 26 mm of rain. Water level in Ukai dam reached 307.63 meter.

In Aravalli district in last 24 hours, Modasa had 24 mm, Dhansura 12 mm, Malpur 8 mm and Bhiloda  had 7 mm of rain.

In Tharad, water entered into telephone exchange, cutting off Tharad from other parts of state. State officer’s bungalow and ST bus stop were water logged due to prevailing rain. Rain continuously lashed for 2 hours.

In Mehsana, bahucharaji had 11 mm, Kadi 21 mm, Kheralu 17 mm, Mehsana city 36 mm, Visnagar 18 mm, Unjha 24 mm and Jotana had 32 mm of rain. In Ambaji small spell of rains since last 2 days.

Rajkot in 24 hours had 37.5 mm rain.

In Patan, 100 mm rain lashed in Radhanpur since 8 am in the morning.

In Surendranagar, heavy rains in Lakhtar, Chotila,Sayla, Dhangadhra, Patdia and Chuda.

In Porbandar, comprehensive rain experienced, 217 mm rain in Porbandar, 206 mm in Ranavav and 143 mm rain in Kutiyana taluk.
