Due to a depression over the Arabian Sea, weather has changed drastically in Gujarat.
The IMD has issued orange and yellow alerts for 26 districts, including Amreli, Gir Somnath, Kutch, Patan, Banaskantha, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Bhavnagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, and others.
Recorded rainfall:
- Bhavnagar – 12 inches
- Amreli – 9 inches
- Surat – 5 inches
- Gir Somnath – 4.5 inches
Flood-like conditions have developed in several areas.
