Today, IAF Chief Arup Raha has said that country is ready to tackle such outfits in reply to a threat from terror groups such as al-Qaeda for Jihad in Indian sub continent. “There is a threat perception from such agencies but the nation is prepared for it,” he said IAF Chief while talking to media on the sidelines of a seminar on role of Air Force during 1965 war with Pakistan.
Yesterday, U.S. media and intelligence agencies had said that al-Qaeda has setup a new branch to start jihad in India, revive its caliphate and impose sharia in the Indian sub continent.Formation of the group called “Qaedat al-Jihad in the Indian region” was announced by As Sahab, al-Qaeda’s official media through a video posted on social media network.
