Indian innings had a solid start with a first wicket partnership of 131 runs between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Rohit was run at 91 runs.

Shikhar scored useful half century with a score of 68 runs in an opening innings of the match.

Yuvraj replaced Shikar in 3rd place and scored very useful 53 runs.
