A remarkable milestone for India’s space programme!
ISRO’s GSLV-F17 mission has been successfully accomplished, placing the EOS-05 Earth Observation Satellite into its intended Sub-Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (Sub-GTO) after lifting off from Sriharikota in the early hours of September 4.
EOS-05 is India’s first-ever imaging satellite designed to operate from geosynchronous orbit, marking a major leap in the country’s Earth observation capabilities. The satellite is expected to support applications including real-time observation, agriculture, environmental monitoring and disaster management.
The achievement highlights the talent and technological capabilities of India’s space scientists and engineers, while the growing collaboration between ISRO and Indian industry continues to strengthen and scale India’s expanding space ecosystem.
