Ahmedabad, July 12: The trustees and festival committee of Shri Jagannathji Temple have announced the official three-day schedule for the 149th Jagannath Rath Yatra Mahotsav, to be held from July 14 to July 16, 2026. The celebrations will include traditional rituals, special adornments, religious ceremonies, community service, and the grand Rath Yatra procession.
Tuesday, July 14, 2026
- 6:00 AM: Installation of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Baldev on the Ratnavedi inside the sanctum.
- 7:30 AM – 10:30 AM: Netrotsav rituals, flag hoisting ceremony, and Maha Aarti.
- 11:00 AM: Community feast (Bhandara) for saints and distribution of traditional garments.
Wednesday, July 15, 2026
- 10:30 AM: Special Sona Vesh (Golden Attire) adornment of the deities and ceremonial worship of the elephants.
- 11:30 AM: Rath Pratishtha (consecration of the chariot) in the temple premises.
- 3:00 PM: Rath Pujan and Aarti.
- 8:00 PM: Special evening worship and Sandhya Aarti.
Thursday, July 16, 2026
- 4:00 AM: Mangala Aarti.
- 4:30 AM: Offering of Khichdi Bhog.
- 5:30 AM – 6:00 AM: Ceremonial placement of the deities into the chariot.
- 7:00 AM: Grand commencement of the 149th Jagannath Rath Yatra.
The festival has been organized under the guidance of Jagatguru Jagannath Peethadhish Shri Dilipdevacharyaji and Guru Rameshwardasji. The trustees of Shri Jagannathji Temple, temple saints, and members of the Jagannathji Temple Festival Committee have invited devotees to participate in the celebrations and seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath.
