Junagadh Forest Departmant has issued orders for enquiry into Cricketer Ravindra Jadeja and his family taking selfie in Gir Sanctuary Park recently. Also the selfies clicked were Jadeja and his family had gone viral on social media network posing wrong signals.
Also RTI Activist of Porbandar Bhanu Adedara has moved High court in the case. Adedara has demanded actions against Chief Forest Officer, Range Forest Officer and 5 others.
As per Forest Department rules, to climb down in prohibited area and click selfie is banned. The act can be considered as an offense as per The Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 for hunting of endangered species which can amount to 3 years of jail and a penalty of Rs 25,000.
