Kalorex Group organised International Pre-School Conference on ‘Today’s Toddlers, Tomorrow’s Whizkids’

500+ Participants Attended The Virtual Conference Addressed By Eight Panellists From Three Countries

Ahmedabad, October 25, 2021: In line with its philosophy of shaping Glocal learners through a holistic approach to education and overall development of children, Kalorex Group organised an International pre-school conference titled, ‘Today’s Toddlers, Tomorrow’s Whizkids’ on Saturday. Since the pandemic times were challenging both for parents as well as educators, the idea behind holding such a virtual conference to let parents as well as faculty members get a detailed insight into exploring and adapting early childhood education under the new normal of the post-pandemic world.

More than 500 participants, including students’ parents as well as faculty members and staffers from across Kalorex Group-run schools attended the international conference, which was addressed by participants from some three countries.

Ms Nyla Khan, who has been awarded the coveted title of Forbes 30 Under 30 and who is the co-founder of Innovation EdTech and Literacy – Mirai partners, Willow Tree Kids and Kids World Nurseries in Dubai, delivered the keynote address at the session.

Ms Khan emphasized on creating a safe environment for toddlers to learn. “It is very important for the child to feel safe and secure as such an environment nurtures creativity. Therefore, creating a conducive environment at home is crucial for the child to explore new things that will trigger its curiosity and thinking,” she said in her address.

Among other panelists were Ms Monisha Singh Diwan, Founder- Mighty Hearts, Vice President-AECED National and a volunteer with Mercy Corps- Uzbekistan along with Ms Ms Ksenia Raevskaya, Early Years Practitioner, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ms. Malini Bharadhwaj, Founding Director, Siddhi Buddhi Knowledge Solutions Private Limited in India.

Ms Diwan underlined the importance of taking a pause and reflecting upon how much the child is absorbing and what are the kind of efforts parents are putting in for their education in such unprecedented times. “Taking a pause and reflecting upon things often helps us gain a clearer perspective,” she said during her address.

Other panelists include Ms. Kanchan Mittal, Co-founder and COO – Ipsaa Daycare, Pritam Kumar Agrawal, founder, Hello Kids Chain of Preschools and Riverstone Schools, Ms Sneha Rathor, CEO, Sanfort Group of Schools, and Ms Yogita B Ahuja, Director- Story Circle, Edu Saarthi India Private Limited.

All the eminent experts gave useful insights about parenting and related struggles during the pandemic, especially during the early years. Experts widely and elaborately spoke about a lot of best practices that have been adopted by schools in the challenging and unprecedented time of the pandemic.

The discussion also emphasized the parent-student-teacher partnership during the pandemic and how home-schooling and leveraging technology helped kids learn without the conventional interface of a classroom. Experts also discussed whether the hybrid work model can be applied to schools and if so how effectively it will be in achieving the goals of imparting holistic education and encouraging all-round development of children. Experts also held detailed deliberations on making life normal for the toddlers.

The insightful discussion was well-received by all the participants, who were very interactive during the session.
