Karan Johar casts Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka for his next “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”

Multitalented filmmaker Karan Johar has roped in a huge star cast for his next project, which is scheduled for release on June 3, 2016. Karan has confirmed that his next directorial venture will star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma. On Monday, big announcement came through a tweet by Johar’s production house Dharma Production.

“Here’s the big news! Karan Johar to direct Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. To be released on June 3, 2016,” the Dharma Production posted on its official twitter handle. “Music for the film to be given by Pritam.”

Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be sharing the screen space for the first time with Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the film. And Karan Johar will be directing the movie after a gap of two years. His last directorial venture was ‘Bombay Talkies’ in 2012. Karan wrote script for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ in just 30 days, while he was in London. He also said the film will fulfill his biggest dream of working with Aishwarya. The ‘Koffee with Karan’ anchor, said he missed several opportunities to work with the actress in the past for various reasons. Talking to a leading daily, the director shared details of multi-starrer titled Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The director was given green signal by his lead cast immediately after he spoke to them. While Karan decided to cast Ranbir and Anushka after he saw their chemistry in Bombay Velvet, he admitted he has always wanted to work with Aishwarya Rai – right from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham to Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. The three said yes to the project immediately. Karan also added,”It’s a film that dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within”.  Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will be shot in New York, London, Paris and parts of Delhi and is tentatively slated to release on June 3, 2016.
