Kiara Advani says “I would love to work with Salman Khan if given a chance”

Kiara Advani in an Exclusive chat with Gujarat Headline…

How do you take success of Fugly?

I am happy to see so much appreciation especially the tweets from the public that are coming in. I’m excited and waiting for the weekend to pass so that we get to know more about how the film has done business wise. So far the response we are getting is very good. Hence the excitement.

People are appreciating more about your Character in the Film so how do you feel about that?

Its very Humbling the way people are saying that i can act despite it being my first film, i don’t appear nervous and all that. That’s exactly the gratification i wanted and that’s why  I signed the film. I remember being shocked that the production house and director have given new comers such substantial roles. But I am happy that I leaped upto the challenge. And I am very grateful, especially to my Director and Producer for giving me this role.

Tell us the story behind changing your name from ‘Alia’ to ‘Kiara’?

Its very simple, we all know that there is already another Alia so it does not make sense to have another one out there because it will confuse the  audience. So we decided  that we should go with a new identity and that’s how we came up with Kiara.

How is Salman Khan’s reaction after watching your film?

Salman….He is very busy with Kick right now. Infact, I messaged him and he has said that he really wants to watch the film. He is hearing some good things about it. We will arrange for him to watch the film as soon as he’s a little free. His sister Alvira has watched the film.

Tell me some experiences of shooting with your co actors?

Good…doing Fugly was the best experience of my life. I cannot pick 1 experience because everything from mastering the Delhi accent to my costars to even waiting on sets was a tremendous feeling. From the Delhi shoots to our schedule in Ladakh, everything has been amazing. I have done lots of things in the film that I did not know i will be doing. I have been quite adventurous. I have ridden a bike in front of a truck on the Ladakhi roads and have played a character from whom I am extremely different in real life. I have played a very personally challenging character in the film. Infact, I am feeling very overwhelmed now that everybody is talking about it. When I look back I feel very nostalgic.

No bad experiences but there are lots of fun and masti experiences off the sets. We had the biggest Prankster on our set – our director Kabir Sir.

Tell about your biking experience? Did you have to take some special training for it?

Of course, I had to.. I have never driven a bike before this. So before we went to Ladakh, I did about 2 to 3 weeks practising. I used to go to my director’s office and he taught me how to ride a bike as he is an avid biker himself.

Do you have any plan to work with Salman Khan in Future?

I would love to if given a chance and i hope he would want to as well.

You have a film background, so did you had any pressure while making your Debut?

My family never put any pressure on me. They are very proud of me. Infact, even they were shocked because they did not expect me to come out so strong in the film. They knew I was convinced to play this particular character as I knew what challenges this role held for me. I think they are very proud of me. Again its very overwhelming.

Message for your Fans?

I feel this film is very relatable although it has a social message.. when you will watch the film you will think its your story and if its not your story then definitely you have atleast heard or read of something like this. It’s a question in your head that urges for a solution. its also entertaining and it has fresh faces and people are already loving it. So spread Fugly Fever everywhere.
