Ahmedabad District Collector Sujit Kumar conducted inspections of various receiving and dispatching centers in preparation for the upcoming local self-government elections, reviewing operational readiness.
Voting will be held at 4,257 polling stations in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, 1,125 centers across district and taluka panchayats, and a total of 132 polling booths for municipalities.
With polling scheduled for April 26, the district administration has geared up to ensure that the election process for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, as well as taluka and district panchayats and municipalities, is conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
As part of these preparations, the District Collector and District Election Officer personally visited multiple receiving and dispatch centers today. During the inspections, he closely reviewed EVM storage arrangements, staff deployment, and the availability of basic facilities at the centers.
