Ahmedabad: Preparations for 146th Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath is in full swing. Lord Jagannath will sit in a new chariot this year. New chariots were prepared after a gap of 72 years. Trial run of the chariot will be done in the temple premises. The chariot will be tried in the temple premises in Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad. A trial of whether the chariot is suitable for traveling will be conducted.
The age-old three chariots used in Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath with his brother Balbhadra and sister Subhadra has been renewed this year. Today God’s new chariot will be tried. A chariot trial will be conducted to test the new chariot of God. Chariots will be rolled in and around the Jagannath temple premises and the new chariot of Lord Jagannath will be tried.
