MAJOR RAID ON ALLEGEDLY ILLEGAL FIRECRACKER GODOWN IN SANAND; STOCK WORTH ₹39.57 CRORE SEIZED

AHMEDABAD: A major police raid was conducted at an allegedly illegal firecracker storage facility in the Sanand taluka of Ahmedabad district.

The action was carried out at a warehouse operated under the name Ambika Trade Link, located on the Modasar–Amthapura road near the Modasar crossroads, in the limits of Amthapura village.

According to the preliminary details, the accused allegedly continued storing a large quantity of firecrackers without renewing the required licence for firecracker sales and without obtaining a mandatory Fire NOC.

Police allege that the accused, along with another person, stored firecrackers worth approximately ₹39,57,90,000 across two warehouses. The facility allegedly lacked adequate fire-safety arrangements, creating a potential risk to human life.

The raid reportedly found both accused persons present at the location. Authorities allege that the accused acted together and violated licensing conditions by storing the highly inflammable material without the required permissions and safety measures.

Police action and the complaint process are currently underway. Further investigation is expected to establish the complete details of the alleged violations and the responsibility of those involved.
