Mumbai: 4 dead as boat capsizes at Dahanu
Today in Mumbai, a Boat with 40 school children on board capsizes 2 nautical miles from the sea shore in Dahanu. Rescue operations are going on. 4 students are said to have died in the boat tragedy. 26 students have been rescued and others are being searched for in the sea. Students after rescue were given treatment. Ambulance has reached the site.
Boat lost its balance when students started clicking Selfie which increased weight on one side of the boat.
Local swimmers helped in rescue operations.
Students of KL Ponda High School of Dahanu had gone for picnic to sea shore at Dahanu.
Team of Agriculture department at Dahanu started rescue work. Other boats have gone for rescue of students.
