Mumbai attack mastermind LeT commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi gets bail in Pakistan court, 2 days after Peshawar school massacre

Today, LeT commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, one the seven Pakistani nationals accused as mastermind of 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in which 166 people were killed, was granted bail by the Anti-Terrorism Court in Pakistan.

Lakhvi and 6 others had made bail applications yesterday as lawyers were observing strike condemning terrorist attack on  Army school in Peshawar killing 148 innocent people, mostly children, dead, as per PTI reports. FIA lawyer prosecutor disagreed to the bail request.

However, advocate of Lakhvi stood before the court as the bail was approved.The seven accused  including Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Younis Anjum are facing  under trial at  Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail.
