Vijaya Rahatkar Chairperson of NCW National Commission for Women of India and is on 2-days official visit to Gujarat, focusing on women’s safety, empowerment, and welfare. She met with Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar had discussion on women’s safety, ongoing welfare schemes, and Gujarat’s role in the International Cooperative Year 2025—a campaign launched by PM Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. Rahatkar held a session with state DGP and senior cops to review crime against women and implementation of the POSH Act in 8 central Gujarat districts.

Attended a public hearing in Ahmedabad, hearing over 40 complaints mainly related to domestic violence, harassment, and societal abuse. She visited Palanpur in Banaskantha, inaugurating the Yashoda AI Training Initiative aimed at strengthening women’s entrepreneurship and digital skills.
