Neeraj Chopra has won the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 javelin event at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, claiming top spot with a best throw of 86.18m amid extremely windy conditions. In what is the first-ever international javelin competition in India, two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj claimed top spot in the tournament named after him. 2016 Olympic silver medalist, Kenya’s Julius Yego, also finished second here, with a best throw of 84.51m. Former Sri Lankan under-16 fast bowler Rumesh Pathirage settled for third with 84.34m. India’s Sachin Yadav narrowly missed out on the rostrum, finishing fourth with a best throw of 82.33m.
