New Election Commissioners of India named ahead of Lok Sabha 2024 elections

India has named former bureaucrats Sukhbir Sandhu and Gyanesh Kumar as new election commissioners ahead of Lok Sabha Elections 2024. This comes after Arun Goel, the former election commissioner of India, suddenly submitted his resignation on March 9.
