Chief Minister Aiming to make Gujarat a leader on the world tourism map with a tourist centric approach by realizing the eternal culture of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’ The new tourism policy will be implemented from January 31, 2012 to March 31, 2018. ▪
‘If Gujarat is not seen, nothing will be seen’ motto will characterize the new tourism policy Balanced regional development through sustainable development of tourism diversification of the state will lead to economic-social development-local employment opportunities.
Main Objectives-Objectives of New Tourism Policy 2021: –
Accelerate adventure tourism to attract young tourists from all over the world State Government will provide various capital subsidies for construction of pollution-free and environmentally friendly tourist destination. Encourage use of e-vehicles by giving 15% capital subsidy up to a maximum of Rs. 2 lakhs Rs 100 percent capital subsidy to be given for development of public charging stations for e-vehicles. One more step towards sustainability through globally recognized sustainability certificate Balanced regional development will be ensured by promoting the establishment of various hotels at designated high priority tourism centers with 20% capital subsidy. Encourage adventure tourism by providing 15% capital subsidy up to a maximum of Rs. 15 lakhs for adventure tourism equipments.
