A meeting of core committee chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani reviewed the steady decline in number of Coronavirus cases in Gujarat and decided to relax some more restrictions.
Currently night curfew is in force in Rajkot, Surat, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar and Junagadh from 10 pm to 8 am. Night curfew ends at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 20. It has now been extended till July 31. As per other decisions taken in core committee, water parks and swimming pools in the state can be started from July 20 with 60 % of its capacity and in compliance with rules of Corona guidelines subject to prescribed SOPs.
Owners, administrators, employees as well as all persons involved in the operation will have to take the first dose of Corona vaccine by July 31. Otherwise such water parks or pools cannot be kept open. The decision to give some concessions for private and public transport services in the state from July 20 has been taken in core committee.
Accordingly, non-AC bus services in public and private transport will start with 100% capacity. But such services will not allow passengers to travel by standing. AC services can be started with 75 % of its capacity passengers. (It will be mandatory for all drivers and conductors to have taken first dose of vaccine.)
Accordingly, the electricity consumption bill for water parks in the state will also be charged but no fixed charge will be levied. The Chief Minister also instructed to maintain the existing corona rules and other restrictions imposed by the Home Department till July 31.
