Japanese encephalitis claims 21 lives till now in Malkangiri  villages of Odisha. CDMO Chief Medical Officer Uday says preventive steps are being taken.

All deceased children were aged between two and eight years, with blood and cerebral fluid samples confirming three deaths as caused by Japanese Encephalitis.
