One small girl died when slab of RDD entrance gate collapsed in Surat
Today afternoon at 12:59 pm in Surat, slab of entrance gate of RDD collapsed. In the incident 2 people were buried under the broken slab, out of which 1 person was taken out safely. However, two and half years old girl who was buried under the debris died in the mishap.
On canal road near citylight coner, construction work of RDD gate was underway. In afternoon, suddenly Slab of the gate collapsed in which 2 laborers were buried. Immediately fire team rushed the accident site. After lot of efforts fire fighter pulled out small girl buried under debris, who ultimately was dead when she was taken out.
On call to fire control room at 12:59 pm, Fire fighters from 4 places Mujra, Man darwaja, Navsari bajar and head quarter were rushed to the site.
Earlier the message was given that slab of BRTS bus stop was broken, in stead of RDD entrance gate.
