Today, Renowned  Cartoonist of India R K Laxman, has died at 94 in Pune. Rasipuram Laxman was an Indian cartoonist, illustrator, and humorist. He is best known for his creation The Common Man. Laxman had been in a hospital in Pune for several days.He was the hero of the common man, he who reflected our joys and sorrows is no more. A silent but a very strong voice is no more.

Laxman was recipient of Padma Vibhushan award in 2005.
