PM Narendra Modi greets swearing-in ceremony of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel

Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi greets gathering and bows before them at the swearing-in ceremony of Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and his cabinet ministers in Gandhinagar.
BJP registered a landslide victory in the state election, winning 156 of the 182 seats.

Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony: Bhupendra Patel, 62, took oath as the 18th Chief Minister of Gujarat on Monday i.e. December 12. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office at 2.00 pm at the helipad ground of the Gandhinagar secretariat.

After Bhupendra Patel, 16 ministers also took the oath. Bhupendra Patel has become the CM of Gujarat for the second consecutive time. Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were also present at the ceremony along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. CMs of BJP-ruled states also came to participate in the programme. At the same time, more than 2000 other leaders and 200 saints also became part of the oath-taking.

Bhupendra Patel Oath Ceremony: BJP’s record victory in Gujarat
Significantly, in Gujarat elections, BJP won 156 out of total 182 assembly seats, Congress 17, AAP 5 and other candidates 4 seats.


This is BJP’s 7th consecutive victory in Gujarat. Bhupendra Patel resigned along with his entire cabinet on Friday i.e. December 09, after which a new government has been formed in Gujarat today.
According to caste dominance OBC society is more dominant


New cabinet of Bhupendra Patel, has dominance of OBC community. When it comes to the Patidar community, 4 Patidars including the Chief Minister have got a place. In which CM Bhupendra Patel, Rishikesh Patel, Raghavji Patel and Praful Panseria have been included.


Dominance of OBC society


In Bhupendra Patel government, 7 OBC faces have been inducted into the cabinet. In which Kunwarji Bavlia, Mulu Bera, Parshottam Solanki, Bhikhusinh Parmar, Mukesh Jinabhai Patel, Bachu Khabad and Jagdish Vishwakarma are included. Apart from this, 2 tribal MLAs have got a place in the cabinet. In which Kuber Dindor and Kunvarji Halapati have been included. These include a Brahmin Kanu Desai, a Kshatriya Balwant Singh Rajput, a Dalit Bhanu Babaria and a Jain Harsh Sanghvi.
