With just a few days remaining for Makar Sankranti, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to attend the Kite Festival in Ahmedabad this year. Notably, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the International Kite Festival on January 12.
This will be Prime Minister Modi’s first visit to the Kite Festival after becoming Prime Minister, making the occasion particularly significant. According to sources, during this visit there is also a possibility that he may travel to Somnath to offer prayers at the Somnath Mahadev temple.
The International Kite Festival, held annually in Ahmedabad during Makar Sankranti, attracts kite flyers and visitors from across India and abroad and is one of Gujarat’s most vibrant cultural celebrations.
