PM Narendra Modi visits Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh

Today on 72nd birthday Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi launches Project Cheetah at Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh.

PM Modi released the animals into an enclosure spread over 10km in the presence of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and wildlife experts.

The Cheetahs were brought from Namibia to India in a special cargo flight Boeing -717. The flight landed in Gwalior in the morning, after which they were taken to Kuno National Park in a helicopter.

On his 72nd birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the animals into an enclosure spread over 10km in the presence of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and wildlife experts.

The cheetahs were flown from southern Africa for their reintroduction in India seven decades after the species was declared extinct in the country in 1952.
