Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit US on invitation from US President Barack Obama during September 2014. Recently, US Secretary John Kerry called on PM Modi and formally invited him to visit White House on behalf of US President. Arrangements to receive and welcome Indian Prime Minister Modi by Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP) are in full swing. OFBJP is the event organiser taking care of Narendra Modi’s US visit and necessary arrangements from BJP supporters point of view. OFBJP has communicated that to address huge crowd of Indians and Modi fans, Narendra Modi will deliver his speech from famous Madison Square Garden in New York during his US visit in September.
Modi’s welcome event has been named as “Pradhan Mantri, Ma Narendra Modi Abhinandan Samaroh”. PM Modi would tour several cities across the country to mobilise Indian American community leaders and the Indian diaspora for this event. OFBJP will present a report describing various issues faced by the Indian diaspora in the US to PM Modi, it said.Madison Square Garden is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, which can accommodate 20,000 people.
