PM Narendra Modi’s cabinet likely to induct 22 ministers

Today in Delhi, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi is likely to induct 22 people new ministers in his cabinet. Meeting will be held at PM residence at 7 Race Course Road before they take oath.

  1. There are likely to be four new ministers of Cabinet rank and 15 Ministers of State or junior ministers, sources said.
  2.  lawmaker Anil Desai of Shiv Sena is on his way to Delhi to take oath, sources said.
  3. Senior Shiv Sena’s Suresh Prabhu joined other probable ministers at tea with the PM.
  4. Inclusion of Manohar Parrikar, tipped to be India’s next Defence Minister.
  5. Olympic medallist and ex-armyman Rajyavardhan Rathore, confirming he will join the cabinet.
  6. The oath ceremony will be held at the Durbar Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan; it is expected to begin by afternoon today, sources said.
  7. Other leaders who could be sworn are BJP’s Rajiv Pratap Rudy, JP Nadda and Muqtar Abbas Naqvi, sources said.
  8. Giriraj Singh and Ram Kripal Yadav are likely to join cabinet.
  9. Singer-turned-BJP Member of Parliament Babul Supriyo, likely to be in PM Modi’s Cabinet.
  10. Rajya Sabha lawmaker YS Chowdary of  TDP, who was recommended by party chief Chandrababu Naidu.
