Pollution high in SMART city Ahmedabad : Air quality turns poor
After Delhi now Ahmedabad is also facing air pollution problem.
In Bopal area, the index was predicted to be higher.
Alert has been sounded and People are advised not to go out today. Ahmedabad stands 3rd in polluted cities of India,Air Quality index around 311.
However, by today afternoon Air Quality Index is 250.
Elderly people with respiratory problem like bronchil asthma are advised to take special care. Small kids with respiratory infection should be given enough care.
In eastern Ahmedabad, pollution is high as there is a dumping site at Pirana with a 4,100 metric ton of waste. Daily 700 trucks ton load of garbage is dumped at Pirana. Due to dust particles in air pollution is increasing. Also near Pirana there is a heavy vehicle movement as it connects to national highway.
High Air Quality Index is attributed to more vehicular traffic and more urbanization.
Gujarat Pollution Control Board will be alerted for necessary actions. Even, awareness programmes in school are done in this regard. Construction sites are advised to spray water around the site to avoid spread of harmful particles in the air.
