Pune landslide, death toll reaches 76

In a recent landslide, at Malin village of  Ambegaon district, Pune death toll has gone upto 76.  Many villagers were trapped under debris and mud, eight people have been taken out of mud till now.
Rescue team from  National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) is facing challenge of pulling out   slush and mud. Even trained canines have been deployed to trace trapped people.  As per estimate rescue operation may take time of 2 to 3 days more in completing the operation.   Incident is attributed to years of deforestation led to the loosening of the soil and ultimately causing the tragedy. Home Minister Singh has  announced Rs 2 lakh assistance from the PM Relief Fund to the kin of the deceased.
