In Rajkot district, at Dedarva village of Jetpur, one dalit girl Chandani Premjibhai Rathod who was working as a labourer in nearby Bawa Pipaliya village. Chandani was sexually exploited by a married man named Sagar Laljibhai Dobariya on temptation of marriage. Sagar took girl to Dhari and in a Priya Guest House behind petrol pump exploited her for a week but since both were from different community and man was already married their marriage were not possible. They returned from Dhari after a week.
Sagar threatened girl not to reveal about the incident or else he will kill her brother.
Chandani narrated entire incident to her parents. Girl’s parents lodged complaint in Jetpur police station. Sagar was booked for rape and attrocities under IPC section 376 (n), 506 (2), Atrocity act 3(1), R 3(2) and 5(a) . Police has started further investigation.
