Self-Financed School (Regulation of Fees Bill) 2017 is valid says Gujarat HC
Today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat High Court gave verdict on Gujarat Self-Financed School (Regulation of Fees Bill) 2017 by Gujarat government.
Gujarat HC observed that government notification is valid and rejected PIL granting stay upto 2018 on the School Regulation of Fees Bill. There is no violation of constitutional provisions. Presently, School Fees of Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000.
Parents have been fighting against increasing private school fees for years.
Trustees and School Management had filed PIL against Gujarat Government’s School Regulation of Fees Bill.
However, petitioner can file PIL with competent authority within 6 weeks. A committee constituting of retired or district judge, 1 DG or IPS level officer, 1 Valuer, 1 CA and 1 School representative can review the petition.
