Ahmedabad, 21st June 2026: Seventh Day School, Ahmedabad celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm in collaboration with Bhartiya Yog Sansthan.
Around 150 students from Std 6, Std 9 and NCC Boys & Girls participated in the yoga session held on the school ground in the early morning hours.

Under the guidance of trainers from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan, students performed the Common Yoga Protocol which included warm-up exercises, Tadasana and Bhujangasana, along with breathing practices and meditation. The theme for this year was “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”.

Addressing the students, Principal Mr. Fileep Tayade explained the importance of Yoga and its health benefits. He said, “Yoga is India’s ancient gift to the world. It is not just physical exercise but a way of life that builds discipline, concentration and immunity. Just 10 minutes of daily Yoga can keep both body and mind healthy. I urge all students to make Yoga a part of their daily routine.”
The program concluded with a vote of thanks. Teachers, NCC officers and staff members were present and motivated the students throughout the session.
