A New Voice of Inclusion: Gen-Z Visionary Sharan Delhivala Brings Art, Culture and Neurodiversity to the Fore
AHMEDABAD: At a time when digital trends often dominate public attention, young artist and entrepreneur Sharan Delhivala is pursuing a different path—using creativity, cultural expression and artistic independence to create greater visibility and opportunity for neurodiverse communities.
Supported by the Gujarat State Lalit Kala Akademi, Sharan is set to present his solo exhibition, “The Five-Core × The Infinite Macrocosm,” at Jodhpur Art Gallery in Ahmedabad from September 28 to October 2, following an exclusive preview on September 27.
The exhibition represents another milestone in Sharan’s multidisciplinary journey, bringing together his interest in visual art, Indian cultural traditions and broader questions around identity, ability and creative expression.
A Creative Journey Rooted in Inclusion
Sharan’s work extends beyond conventional artistic categories. His journey combines painting and photography with music, dance, performance and entrepreneurship.
His creative practice seeks to place neurodiversity within a wider conversation about talent, independence and participation. Rather than approaching inclusion solely through the lens of support or charity, his work emphasises the importance of professional opportunities, creative freedom and economic agency.
Through his artistic journey, Sharan also seeks to showcase Indian cultural traditions to audiences across different platforms and geographies, connecting his work with cities including Mérida, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi and Ahmedabad.
A Multidisciplinary Young Talent
Sharan has developed skills across several creative and performance disciplines. He is a rhythm drummer, keyboard player, photographer and dancer, and also holds a Karate Brown Senior Belt.
His upcoming exhibition explores five central concepts—Vajra, Prana, Sankalpa, Tejas and Ananta—which form the conceptual foundation of his latest body of work.
Together, these themes explore ideas of inner strength, energy, determination, radiance and infinity, creating a framework through which Sharan examines the relationship between the individual and the larger universe.
Art With Economic Independence
A key feature of the exhibition is its emphasis on ensuring that the artist benefits directly from his creative work.
According to the exhibition’s stated model, 100% of the proceeds from artwork sales will go directly to the artist, without intermediaries or commercial commissions.
The approach places economic participation alongside artistic recognition, reinforcing the idea that inclusion should also create pathways for sustainable creative careers.
For Sharan, the exhibition is therefore not simply about displaying artwork. It represents an effort to build a professional ecosystem in which neurodiverse artists can create, exhibit, earn and pursue long-term artistic ambitions.
