- 17 teams present smart and sustainable city models tackling urban challenges.
- Bridge design contest sees 13 teams showcase structural efficiency and innovation.
- Hands-on competitions promote interdisciplinary learning and real-world problem solving.
Ahmedabad | 18 April 2026: Adani University has brought student-led innovation into focus through a set of model-based competitions organised by its Department of Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, highlighting practical solutions to emerging urban and infrastructure challenges.

The Smart and Sustainable City Model Competition has drawn participation from 17 teams, with around 45 to 50 students representing colleges across Ahmedabad. Participants are presenting physical models that address key issues such as urban congestion, environmental sustainability, resource management, and infrastructure resilience.
The projects adopt a systems-led approach to city planning, integrating renewable energy, water and waste management, and smart mobility solutions. The emphasis is on building scalable and sustainable urban ecosystems aligned with real-world planning needs.
In parallel, the Bridge Model Competition features 13 teams with 35 to 40 students showcasing structural design concepts focused on load-bearing efficiency and engineering fundamentals. The models reflect a blend of technical precision and creative problem-solving.
Together, the competitions extend learning beyond the classroom by encouraging experimentation, collaboration, and applied thinking. The initiative reflects Adani University’s focus on preparing students to respond to the evolving demands of urban development and infrastructure design.
