Gandhinagar, 8th August, 2025 – The School of Management, Commerce and Liberal Arts ,Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University hosted an essay writing competition in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 on 5th August, 2025. This event witnessed the participation of 28 students, aimed at encouraging a deeper exploration of the vision and key principles of the NEP.

The competition was overseen by faculty members, Dr. Kavita Kshatriya, Dean; Dr. Sourbhi Chaturvedi, Director; Dr. Bharati Vidhani HOD and Dr. Shashikant Bhagat, HOD. The event was coordinated by Dr. Anil Borkar and Mr. Sanjay Thakor, Assistant Professors.
With a focus on promoting writing, analytical, and research skills, the competition provided students with a valuable platform to express their opinions and suggestions regarding educational reforms. The event culminated with the announcement of 3 winners, with Nayi Rutvik D securing the first prize, followed by Roshni Gajjar as the runner-up and Naresh Jangid as the second runner-up.
This essay writing competition served as an important initiative to raise awareness and foster critical engagement with the NEP among students. It encouraged them to dive into the policy’s vision, analyze its potential impact, and propose effective implementation strategies, thereby cultivating a profound understanding of its transformative goals.
The event proved to be a thought-provoking experience, enabling students to engage deeply with the objectives of the NEP. It highlighted the significant role of youth in shaping the future of Indian education through informed dialogue and innovative thinking.
