Gandhinagar, Jun 04, 2025: It is a proud moment for Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, as one of its students, Pruthu Dilipbhai Vataliya, has etched his name into the book of records. Demonstrating immense concentration, strength, balance and yoga discipline, Pruthu performed 72 wing push-ups in one minute while holding the advanced firefly pose, also known as Tittibhasana. His achievement has been officially recognised by the World Records India as a new world record for ‘Most Wing Push-Ups in Firefly Pose in One Minute’.

The feat, attempted on May 30, marks a unique milestone for Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University. A resident of Gandhinagar, Pruthu is a passionate and committed yoga practitioner. He is currently pursuing his MSc in Chemistry at Swarrnim Science College affiliated with the university. In addition to his academic excellence, Pruthu has emerged as a Yogasana champion at district, state and national level.

Pruthu has been practising Yoga since the age of 8 years.
Sharing his happiness on setting a world record, Pruthu said, “This record is not just about physical strength, but the harmony of mind, body, and breath that yoga teaches. I am beyond grateful to Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University for providing an encouraging environment to pursue my academic as well as personal goals.”

The official submission and evaluation were conducted and documented according to the prescribed guidelines in the presence of university representatives and other dignitaries.
