Today in Uttar Pradesh Election Results 2022 Updates: BJP Bharatiya Janta Party Leads by 260 Seats, On Course For 2nd Term. Exit polls have indicated a second consecutive term for BJP.

The party is firmly ahead of Samajwadi Party and seems set for a second consecutive term.The Congress and the Samajwadi Party are very close. Among those leading included Uttar Pardesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Gorakhpur, Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav from Karhal, Shivpal Yadav from Jaswant Nagar, and Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya from Sirathu.

In the latest trends, the ruling party was ahead in 268 seats, comfortably over the halfway mark, while the Samajwadi Party, whose leader Akhilesh Yadav attracted huge crowds at his campaign rallies, was trailing behind with leads in 123 seats.

Vote counting started at 8 am with postal ballots. The counting of electronic voting machines (EVM) will begin at 8.30 am.
