Ahmedabad: Vastrapur is gearing up for a spectacular new chapter as the iconic Vastrapur Lake prepares to reopen on 7th December, following an extensive ₹10-crore redevelopment. The rejuvenated space has been officially renamed Narsinh Mehta Lake & Garden, paying tribute to the revered saint-poet of Gujarat.
To ensure public accessibility, authorities have announced a symbolic entry fee of ₹10, while morning walkers will continue to enjoy free entry.
The redeveloped lakefront now boasts several upgraded and newly added features:

- A serene yoga corner encouraging wellness activities
- Enhanced lake aeration systems to maintain water quality
- Installation of a new 5 MLD water treatment plant to keep the lake clean and sustainable throughout the year
Officials expect the revamped lakefront to become a major recreational hub, blending leisure, fitness, and environmental sustainability.
