Unity March Concludes in Kevadia
Kevadia, Gujarat: The concluding ceremony of the Unity March at Kevadia turned into a grand national event as the Hon’ble Vice President of India, Hon’ble Governor of Gujarat, Chief Minister, and several other distinguished dignitaries gathered at the iconic Statue of Unity to pay floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.

The leaders offered pushpanjali (floral homage) at the feet of the world’s tallest statue, commemorating Sardar Patel’s unparalleled contribution to national integration and unity. The solemn yet inspiring ceremony highlighted the values of patriotism, social harmony, and collective strength that Patel envisioned for the nation.

The Unity March, which saw participation from youth groups, cultural contingents, volunteers, and representatives from various districts, concluded in an atmosphere charged with patriotic energy. Participants marched with the message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”, symbolizing unity across states, cultures, and communities.

The march culminated at the Statue of Unity where leaders interacted with participants, applauded their commitment, and emphasized the importance of unity in nation-building.
Addressing the gathering, dignitaries recalled Sardar Patel’s monumental role in integrating more than 560 princely states to form a united India. They noted that the country continues to draw inspiration from Patel’s leadership, decisiveness, and nation-first approach.
The Vice President highlighted Patel’s statesmanship and described the Statue of Unity as a “symbol of India’s resolve to remain united in diversity.”
The Chief Minister commended the state’s efforts in promoting national integration events at Kevadia, which has now become a globally renowned site of heritage, tourism, and unity-inspired initiatives.
Kevadia, home to the 182-meter-tall global landmark, once again witnessed a gathering of national significance, reinforcing its status as a vibrant venue for major cultural, patriotic, and developmental programs.
