Welcomhotel Ahmedabad by ITC Hotels Appoints Tushar Bhattacharya as Executive Chef in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, June 22, 2024: Welcomhotel Ahmedabad by ITC Hotels is proud to announce the appointment of Tushar Bhattacharya as the new Executive Chef. Bringing along 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Tushar’s culinary expertise and passion will indeed be an asset to the ITC Kitchen at Welcomhotel Ahmedabad.

Having grown up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in a family that has celebrated and cherished the art of cooking, inspiration for pursuing his career in the culinary world came early on. He rejoiced at whipping up meals that brought joy to those around him.

His upbringing in a vibrant culinary hub, coupled with his vast experience of working in different Indian states and revered properties of ITC Hotels Group, Tushar appreciates the diverse gourmet traditions and ingredients from across the length and breadth of the country. In fact, his experience and passion also led him to innovate and whip up everything ranging from traditional recipes perfected over generations to innovations that would strike just the right taste buds.

Prior to joining Welcomhotel Ahmedabad by ITC Hotels, Tushar has worked across states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, West Bengal, Manipur, Rajasthan and Punjab. He has worked as a Sous Chef and a Senior Sous Chef at ITC Maratha in Mumbai in addition to ITC Grand Bharat in Manesar, ITC Maurya, New Delhi and ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru. During his journey he has served each hotel in different roles and climbed up the ladder from being a trainee to an executive chef. 

Tushar’s diverse experiences in various ITC Hotels’ brands and his dedication to the culinary arts make him an invaluable addition to Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels.

“I truly look forward to leading the culinary team at Welcomhotel Ahmedabad by ITC Hotels.  I will continue to explore indigenous ingredients and flavours, aiming to create memorable dining experiences for guests and patrons of the hotels,” he said.
